Allowances depend on the fare, route and booking date, and airlines change them often. Use this page to plan, and confirm the allowance on your ticket or in Manage Booking. Cards marked "Check on booking" have fare tables that differ between pages.

Packing tips
A few habits that avoid fees at the airport.
Weight & sizes
- Weigh your bags at home. Airlines weigh cabin bags at the gate on many routes.
- Sizes include wheels and handles.
- Most airlines limit a single checked bag to 32 kg and 158 cm (length + width + height).
Pack smart
- Heavy items in the checked bag, valuables and chargers in the cabin bag.
- Roll clothes and use packing cubes to stay under the limit.
- Wear your heaviest shoes and jacket on the plane.
Restricted items
- Power banks and spare lithium batteries go in the cabin bag, never in the hold.
- Liquids in the cabin: 100 ml containers in one clear bag at most airports. Your airport may allow more, check before you go.
- Knives, tools and sharp items belong in the checked bag.
Before you leave
- Check the allowance on your booking confirmation.
- Add bags online: it is usually cheaper than at the airport.
- Keep your passport, tickets and medicines in the cabin bag.
Common questions
What is the difference between a personal item and a cabin bag?
A personal item is a small bag that fits under the seat in front of you. A cabin bag is larger and goes in the overhead locker. Low-cost airlines often include only the personal item.
Why does my airline say something different from this page?
Airlines change allowances by fare, route and date. This page shows the standard published allowance. The figure on your ticket or booking is the one that counts.
Is it cheaper to buy a bag online?
Yes, on almost every airline adding a bag during booking or in Manage Booking costs less than adding it at check-in or at the gate.
What happens if my cabin bag is too big or too heavy?
The airline can refuse it or send it to the hold and charge a gate fee. These fees are high, often much more than adding a bag in advance.
Do connecting flights follow one baggage rule?
On one ticket the rules of the airline that issued the ticket usually apply. On separate tickets, each airline applies its own rules, and the strictest one applies when airlines share a flight.
Can I carry power banks and lithium batteries?
Yes in the cabin bag, within the airline limit (commonly 100 Wh without approval). Never in the checked bag.
Where do I find the exact rule for my flight?
Open the official policy link on the airline card, or use the baggage calculator on the airline's site with your booking reference.
